It’s just ONE week until the Specsavers County Championship fixtures for 2018 will be officially announced.

Worcestershire members and supporters will be able to see where and when the County will be playing after gaining promotion back to Division One next Wednesday (November 29).

Who will be first up at Blackfinch New Road for skipper Joe Leach and the players when the Championship fixtures are released by the England and Wales Cricket Board?

In 2015 Worcestershire launched their last top flight season with a mouth-watering home clash with the then champions Yorkshire.

It was a game in which Tom Fell scored a memorable century and earned glowing praise from Yorkshire coach Jason Gillespie who has now taken charge at Sussex.

The Royal London One-Day group fixtures will also be announced by the ECB on the same day – a competition in which Worcestershire topped the North Group this summer.

They will follow on from the release next Tuesday of the NatWest T20 Blast group fixtures.

The two games with Birmingham Bears are always amongst the first Rapids supporters look out for.

Tune into the Worcestershire CCC website for details of the 2018 season.
