RAPIDS ANNOUNCED UNCHANGED SQUAD FOR MEETING WITH FOXES

worcestershire rapids first team coach alex gidman has announced an unchanged squad for tomorrow’s vitality blast encounter with leicestershire foxes at New Road (2.30pm start).

the rapids will keep faith with the 11 players in action against yorkshire vikings at headingley yesterday plus batsman tom fell and paceman charlie morris.

worcestershire will be bidding for a fourth successive win before they put the blast to one side for a week and focus on the prestigious three-day match against australia beginning on wednesday.

callum ferguson is set to again captain the rapids with brett d’oliveira side-lined still with his fractured thumb.

the rapids consolidated second spot in the table behind lancashire after triumphing against the vikings with the top four going through to the quarter-finals.

rapids all-rounder ed barnard said: “we feel like we can beat anyone on our day but obviously leicestershire are a dangerous side and have got some very good players.

“hopefully we can take the momentum from the game against yorkshire and extend our lead in the top two with lancashire.

“we are trying not to look too far ahead but we spoke about embracing the fact we won the competition last year.”
