RAPIDS KEEPER COX ENDS WTH MOST DISMISSALS IN VITALITY BLAST

Ben Cox finished with more dismissals than any other wicket-keeper in the 2019 Vitality Blast.

Worcestershire Rapids player Cox ended with 11 scalps comprising eight catches and three stumpings.

His skills when standing up to the stumps proved vital in Saturday’s semi-final against Notts Outlaws.

Cox collected a delivery from Wayne Parnell to stop Outlaws batsman Ben Duckett scoring the one run needed for his side to reach the final.

The former Bromsgrove School pupil finished with one dismissal more than Glamorgan’s Chris Cooke and Gloucestershire’s James Bracey.

On the batting front Moeen Ali finished second in the national averages after a superb tournament.

The Worcestershire star slammed 365 runs in seven innings with an average of 73.00 and a strike rate of 171.36.
