After the Rapids wash-out away to Leicestershire Foxes, Northants edged above them on run-rate thanks to a 26 run success over Durham Jets at Wantage Road last evening.
The Rapids and the Steelbacks have both picked up nine points out of a possible 12.
Notts faced a lengthy trip from Headingley to Worcester after last night's game with Yorkshire Vikings was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
They are currently lying in eighth spot in the table.
Birmingham Bears climbed into third spot courtesy of a four wicket win over Derbyshire Falcons at the 3aaa County Ground.
The top four qualify for the quarter-finals with the first two in both groups securing home ties.
