Rapids Name 13 Strong Squad For Meeting With The Vikings

Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has named a 13 strong squad for the Rapids NatWest T20 Blast clash with Yorkshire Vikings at New Road tomorrow evening (5.30pm start).

Paceman Charlie Morris is added to the 12 players originally selected for last Friday's home wash-out against Nottinghamshire Outlaws.

Moeen Ali is unavailable following his selection in the England squad for next week's first Investec Test with India at Trent Bridge.

All-rounder Ross Whiteley is included in the Rapids squad after having an injection to ease a recent shoulder problem.

The Rapids, who currently top the North Group, will be looking to add to the six wins on a trot chalked up before the Ouitlaws game was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Rhodes said: "Yorkshire are playing really well. But we will just try and approach the game like we have with every single game really, to make sure we are doing our best to do our job right.

"Hopefully if we can do that, then it should be good enough to take care of the opposition.

"Again they are a team you must respect and they have got some terrific players.

"We will be doing our best to be on our 'A' game. It is quite tough for us when we haven't gone Moeen playing for us in a game like that.

"But we've got other guys who have come in and stood up and that is what is required in squad cricket."
