George Rhodes will look to continue his fine form for North Canberra Gungahlin when they switch from ACT first grade Gallop Cup action to the two-day Douglas Cup competition this weekend away to Western District.
The Worcestershire all-rounder finished as the third highest run-scorer and joint second highest wicket-taker for his club in the Gallop Cup.
Rhodes achieved a top score of 54 and a best bowling return of 4-53.
But the Northies failed to qualify for the semi-finals, finishing sixth in the eight team group after seven matches.
The two day match with Western District will be concluded on Saturday, December 5.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore's side, Penrith Panthers, have work to do to force a positive result on day two of the Sydney Grade Cricket first grade match with visiting Sydney.
Sydney will resume on day two on 139-7 in reply to Penrith's 126 all out.
Alex Hepburn's team, Willetton Dragons, are on course to reach the knockout stages of the Western Australia Cricket Association first grade.
They start a two-day game with visiting Gosnells this weekend lying in fourth spot in the 16 team table with the top six going through.
The match will reach its conclusion on December 5.
Ollie Westbury's club, Hay Park, are in the driving seat at the half-way stage of the Bunbury and District Cricket Association first grade competition.
They head the table by eight points after winning five of their six matches.
But this weekend's opponents, home side Leschenault, inflicted the only defeat of the season on Hay Park in the opening game by 21 runs.
