Rhodes Collects Another Three Wickets To Help Northies Win Thriller

George Rhodes was again amongst the wickets for North Canberra Gungahlin who gained a thrilling win over Weston Creek Molonglo on day two of the ACT Premier Cricket Douglas Cup match.

The Worcestershire all-rounder had been second top scorer on day one with 36 as the Northies totalled 209 all out.

He followed that up with figures of 19-3-46-3 after his 4-69 in the previous match against Western District.

Weston Creek were bowled out for 206 in 80.2 overs to leave North Canberra victorious by just three runs.

Rhodes heads into the festive three week break as his side's leading wicket-taker with 15 victims in seven matches.

Tom Fell's side, Mount Lawley, have claimed first innings point from their Western Australia Cricket Association first grade match with visiting Bayswater-Morley.

Mount Lawley had scored 341-5 on day one with former Worcestershire batsman Michael Klinger scoring a century.

They also dominated proceedings eith the ball today as Bayswater were bowled out for 169 in 66.3 overs.
