Steve Rhodes was delighted with the strength in depth again shown by the Worcestershire batting line-up in the 42 run success over Leicestershire in the Royal London One-Day Cup match at the Fischer County Ground.
Moeen Ali led the way with 90 in the final appearance of his current spell with the County before resuming England commitments.
But there were solid knocks all down the order and once again the late contribution from Ed Barnard proved vital in the final analysis.
His last wicket stand of 45 with Josh Tongue in the low-scoring Specsavers County Championship match with Northamptonshire at New Road was vital.
And today Barnard, with an unbeaten 25 off 10 balls, and John Hastings (28 not out) eked out 46 runs from the final 3.2 overs which left Leicestershire an even more demanding total to chase.
Director of Cricket Rhodes told BBC Hereford-Worcester's Dave Bradley: "There were about 680 runs, it was a good wicket for cricket, a good outfield and some good bowling as well, believe it or not.
"I thought Leicestershire definitely played their part in what was a wonderful match. Whilst we are delighted for the win, Leicestershire should take a lot of heart out of the way they tried to get those runs.
"They did a similar job when they won at Old Trafford in their last match.
"But I'm delighted for us. I thought our batting was outstanding. Moeen's innings was very special but we had some really good partnerships.
"People chipped in all the way like Tom Fell and Clarkey and also the guys back end of the innings played really well, Dolly, John Hastings and Barny.
"It is nice to see our batters contribute and getting some partnerships in one-day cricket.
"We are very lucky. We've worked hard on all our bowlers making sure they bat well. Barny has always been able to bat well but he is now coming into his own and wherever he bats, he proves to be a very useful performer.
"John Hastings is a fine batter and he is at number nine at the moment. It does show our depth and comes in handy every now and then.
"It came in handy with the last wicket partnership in the last Championship game we played and that little cameo at the end today from Barny was crucial."
Brett D'Oliveira also played a key role with 33 off 30 balls, some excellent fielding and 0-50 from 10 overs to help keep the Leicestershire batsmen under pressure via the run-rate.
Rhodes said: "Dolly had a good game. His partnership and running between the wickets with Ben Cox was important. It was a really good partnership because we had lost two wickets together and those two managed to keep it going for us.
"Then with the ball Dolly bowled really well for 10 overs. He bowled a lot better than 0-50, and it is nice to see, and he also fielded well.
"With the guys, some bits of fielding were brilliant, some we could do better but one outstanding fielder today was Ross Whiteley on the boundary.
"He saved so many runs and he covered a hell of a lot of ground out there. Grace Road is a big surface square of the wicket."
