Rhodes Heads Into Xmas With Onslow Joint Top

George Rhodes will head into Christmas and the New Year with his side – Onslow Cricket Club – sharing the leadership in the Ewen Chatfield Trophy.

The Worcestershire all-rounder has played a major role in Onslow being level on points with Johnsonville CC.

Both sides have won eight of their opening 10 matches and have 40 points apiece.

Only net run difference separates the sides with Johnsonville slightly ahead on +1.49 compared to Onslow’s +1.36.

Rhodes is Onslow’s leading run-getter with 349 from eight innings at an average of 49.86 including one century and two fifties.

Onslow will return to action on January 12 with an away clash with Hutt DC.

Josh Dell has also made a big impact for Midland-Guildford in the Western Australia Cricket Association second grade competition.

He is top of their averages with 293 runs from five innings including 157 not out versus Gosnells.

County paceman Charlie Morris is third in the bowling averages for Tuggeranong Valley in the  McDonald’s ACT Premier Cricket first grade.

He has returned figures of 93.2-9-325-11 at an average of 29.55.
