George Rhodes' side North Canberra Gungahlin pulled off a splendid six wicket win in the ACT Premier Cricket Douglas Cup on day two against home side Ginninderra.
The Worcestershire all-rounder is his side's leading run-scorer and wicket-taker this winter but only had a bit part role to play on this occasion in conditions more suited to seam bowling than spin.
North Canberra resumed at the start of day two on 191-3 from 25.2 overs and immediately declared with a lead of 54 on first innings.
Ginninderra, bowled out for 137 last weekend, provided more determined resistance in making 205 all out in 60 overs.
Rhodes was restricted to just one over for four runs on the green surface with Ben Taylor (5-66) doing most of the damage.
The Northies were left a target of 152 in 27 overs to gain an outright victory.
Rhodes was dismissed for four off 20 balls – second out with the total on 26 – but his team-mates ensured victory was achieved.
Jason Kila (45), Andrew Glover (42 not out), Tim Coggan (33) and Liam Greenwood, with 15 not out off six balls, saw them to victory in 22.5 overs.
Rhodes said: "It was a great result. It was a green wicket with no spin. Our seamers bowled very well."
