All-rounder Ross Whiteley has emerged as Worcestershire's leading runscorer after the opening trio of Royal London One-Day Cup matches.

Whiteley has scored 127 runs at an average of 42.33 with the aid of two half-centuries against Northamptonshire Steelbacks and former club Derbyshire Falcons.

It followed on from his 84 not out against Derbyshire in the NatWest T20 Blast – his first half century of 2014.

Skipper Daryl Mitchell is top of the bowling averages with four wickets for 40 runs at an average of just 10 apiece.

The county have collected three points from their opening three games in the competition.

They will return to action in the One-Day Cup tomorrow (Thursday) against Yorkshire Vikings at Headingley.
