Saeed Ajmal was on the losing side with Pakistan in the opening Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.
The Worcestershire spinner had returned 5-166 from 59.1 overs during Sri Lanka's first innings to restrict their lead to 82.
But then Pakistan were bowled out for 180 in their second innings to leave Sri Lanka requiring only 99 for victory.
Saeed had gone in as nightwatchman at the end of the fourth day but made only four as Pakistan lost wickets at regular intervals.
The 36-year-old opened the bowling in the Sri Lankan second innings and sent down six overs for 29 runs as the home side reached their modest target for the lost of three wickets.
*Worcestershire duo Joe Clarke and Ed Barnard were denied the chance to finish on the losing side for England Under-19s by the weather in the opening Test with South Africa Under-19s at Northampton.
South Africa followed on 316 runs behind after being bowled out for 77 in their first innings and were still 81 in arrears when they closed on the penultimate day at 235-4.
But heavy rain prevented any play on the final day on Sunday.
Wicket-keeper Clarke scored 29 and collected one catch while all-rounder Barnard hit 15 and picked up one wicket in returning match figures of 14-6-33-1.
