Saeed Ajmal is to undergo a further test on his revamped bowling action at the International Cricket Council biomechanic centre in Chennai.
A senior Pakistan Cricket Board official has confirmed to the Pakistan media that Ajmal and fellow off spinner Mohammad Hafeez will participate in the tests in India within the next three days.
Ajmal picked up 63 LV = County Championship wickets for Worcestershire last season and Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes wants him to return for the 2015 campaign if his new action is approved.
The 37-year-old had previously undertaken two informal tests at the ICC centre in Loughborough after working on his action with former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq.
He has been banned from international cricket since his action was reported during the Sri Lanka-Pakistan Test in Galle in August and is aiming to get clearance for the 2015 World Cup.
The PCB official said: "Saeed and Hafeez apparently were not comfortable with the set-up in Brisbane and Loughborough and wanted to go to Chennai.
"Their travel plans are now final and we have got all the clearances from the Indian High Commission and our foreign ministry.
"They will be appearing in informal tests in Chennai and if they clear those then we will send them for official ICC tests soon.
"We are doing our best to facilitate both of them and we are keen to see their bowling actions cleared before the World Cup.
"I think we will complete all this process in two weeks time."
Ajmal played two unofficial matches for Pakistan 'A' against Kenya at the weekend, bowling six overs in each and picking up three wickets.
He has been named in Pakistan's initial 30 strong squad for the World Cup and this has to be reduced to 15 by January 7.
