Saeed Top Of Worcestershire’s Championship Averages After Wicket Feast

Saeed Ajmal has replaced Gareth Andrew at the top of Worcestershire's bowling averages in the LV = County Championship after his 12 wicket haul in the win over Glamorgan 11 days ago.

The Pakistan spin wizard has taken 56 wickets at an average of 15.91 in his eight Championship matches with five hauls of five wickets or more.

Ajmal will make the final four-day appearance of his current spell at New Road in the home game with Leicestershire starting today (Sunday).

New ball bowler Charlie Morris has climbed up to fourth spot after his crucial 3-14 burst on the final day against Glamorgan lifted him onto the 30 wicket mark in his first full season.

On the batting front Tom Fell has moved up into third place in the county's averages after his back to back hundreds against Leicestershire and Glamorgan.

Skipper Daryl Mitchell is still out in front and needs 54 runs to reach the 1,000 mark in the Championship for the campaign.
