George Scrimshaw will make his comeback after injury for Worcestershire Seconds in the four-day game with Surrey Seconds at Kidderminster beginning tomorrow.
The 20-year-old paceman has been side-lined with a back problem and then a fractured rib this summer.
But Scrimshaw has eased his way back to fitness, had a couple of run-outs in club cricket and worked with Head Bowling Coach Alan Richardson in the nets at Southport during the past week.
He made his first team debut last summer, playing in four T20 games, and was also part of the ECB Pace Programme during the winter.
Academy batsman Callum Lea will make his Seconds debut after a series of impressive performances.
The Malvern College pupil, who plays for Himley in the Birmingham League, scored a recent century for the Academy in the Tri-Series match with Leicestershire at Bromsgrove CC.
Coach Alex Gidman is also offering an opportunity to right armer Asher Hart, 21, who has been playing regular cricket for Hampshire Seconds this season.
Opening batsman George Rhodes has recovered sufficiently from the finger injury suffered against Glamorgan Seconds at RGS Worcester last week to be part of the squad.
