Seconds Bring Down Curtain On Season With Leics Clash

Seconds Bring Down Curtain On Season With Leics Clash

Worcestershire Seconds will bring down the curtain on the 2017 season with a three-day match against Leicestershire Seconds at Desborough Town CC starting tomorrow.

Coach Kevin Sharp’s side will return to action after an 11-day break after the wash-out of last week’s 50 over encounter with Bangladesh Academy at Wolverhampton CC.

It has been a successful season for the Seconds in finishing third in the Championship, narrowly missing out on a semi-final spot in the 50 over competition and seeing several players graduate into the senior squad.

Tom Fell returns to the side after being part of the Specsavers County Championship triumph over Leicestershire which has taken the County to the brink of promotion.

He looks set to open with Oliver Westbury in a strong looking line-up.

Alex Milton, who has signed his first professional contract with Worcestershire, will take the gloves before returning for his final year at Cardiff MCCU.

Charlie Morris will again skipper the side and play will get underway each day at 10.30am.
