Worcestershire's Second Eleven Championship campaign for 2015 came to a soggy end as rain washed out the final day of the match with Warwickshire at Flagge Meadow.
Torrential overnight and early morning rain left the umpires with the inevitable decision to abandon the game as a draw.
Warwickshire were standing on 390-4 in their first innings in reply to Worcestershire's 287 all out.
Worcestershire collected nine points from the match and Warwickshire 13.
The home side ended the Championship programme with the one victory to their credit, an impressive innings and 40 run success over Yorkshire at Barnt Green.
But there have been many excellent individual performances during the summer, an example being Joe Clarke whose double century against Gloucestershire at Cheltenham College elevated him into the senior side.
Ed Barnard and Brett D'Oliveira have also broken into the first eleven after their performances for the second team.
Several players have also been elevated from the Academy side into the Seconds and the experience will stand them in good stead for what they hope will eventually be the next step in their career – to challenge for a first team place.
There are still two games remaining before the curtain completely comes down on Seconds cricket for the summer.
They will take on a combined Kent-Northants side in a three-day match at Northampton from September 2-4 and then entertain Hampshire in a four-day game at Kidderminster from September 14-17.
