SECONDS FACE LANCASHIRE IN TROPHY AND CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLE HEADER

Worcestershire Seconds are involved in Trophy and then Championship action during the next four days against their Lancashire counterparts.

The sides will first meet in a Trophy game at Southport and Birkdale tomorrow (Monday).

Worcestershire were beaten by Warwickshire at Moseley in their opening Trophy game but then defeated Leicestershire at RGS Worcester.

The County have included triallist Josh Breed in their line-up, a batsman and leg-spinner who plays for Cheltenham CC.

Another triallist in Ari Karvelas is being given another opportunity after featuring in the 50 over contest versus Leicestershire.

Club captain Joe Leach will skipper the side as he continues his comeback from a stress fracture of the lower back.
