Worcestershire Seconds finished fourth in the North Group of the Second Eleven Trophy.

The County just missed out on a top two spot in the 50 over competition – and qualification for the semi-finals.

They ended level on seven points from six games alongside Warwickshire who had a slightly superior net run rate.

Worcestershire came out on top in three matches, all of them at home and at three different venues and when batting second.

They defeated Leicestershire at RGS Worcester by eight wickets, Yorkshire at Kidderminster by five wickets and Derbyshire at Blackfinch New Road by nine wickets.

In each of those matches a Worcestershire player scored a century with George Rhodes making 100 not out versus Leicestershire, Jack Haynes a memorable 180 not out against Yorkshire and Angus Robson an unbeaten 102 against Derbyshire.

The Seconds were beaten by Warwickshire by four wickets and Lancashire by 54 runs and the final game of the campaign was washed out at Northampton.

Yorkshire and Durham join Somerset and Kent from the South Group in the semi-finals.
