Worcestershire Seconds had to settle for a draw in their final Championship match of 2017 as an unbeaten century from Jake Libby earned Nottinghamshire a draw at Notts Sports Club.
Coach Kevin Sharp’s side, who are in contention to finish runners-up in the North Group, collected 13 points from the game – maximum bonus points plus five for a share of the spoils.
Nottinghamshire began the final day on 68-1 – still 129 in arrears – but had reached 328-5 when they declared to end the contest.
Libby remained undefeated on 170 from 258 balls with one six and 17 fours.
Worcestershire skipper Charlie Morris made an early breakthrough when Brett Hutton (5) was pouched at second slip by Tom Fell.
It became 106-3 when paceman Mark Footitt (7), who has just moved to Nottinghamshire from Surrey, edged George Scrimshaw to Alex Hepburn at first slip after being promoted up the order.
But then Libby found good support in two substantial partnerships.
He added 98 in 20 overs with Joey Evison (54) and 124 in 30 overs with Chris Gibson (47).
Spinner Ben Twohig bowled tightly in finishing with 1-49 from 20 overs and there was one wicket apiece for Morris, Scrimshaw, Adam Finch and Zen Malik.

*Worcestershire Under-17s were frustrated in their victory push by the weather after a last day wash-out of the ECB County Championship match with Hampshire Under-17s at Basingstoke.
Hampshire had been 46-1 in their second innings overnight – still 106 short of making Worcestershire bat again.
Worcestershire will collect 13 points from the game – maximum batting and bowling points and five for a draw.
