Seconds In Action At Chester Road For Second Time In 24 Hours

Seconds In Action At Chester Road For Second Time In 24 Hours

Worcestershire Seconds return to action at Kidderminster today (Thursday) for the second time in 24 hours when they take on Durham in the Second Eleven Trophy.

The Seconds got their SET campaign off to an excellent start yesterday with a seven wicket win over Unicorns at Chester Road.

Centuries from Brett D'Oliveira and Alex Hepburn were chiefly responsible for the Seconds chasing down a 275 target with five balls to spare.

Alexei Kervezee will take over the captaincy of the side against Durham from spinner Shaaiq Choudhry.

Matches in the SET comprise of 50 overs a side and today's action will get underway at 11am.

The Seconds have been in a rich vein of form with five wins out of six in the T20 competition and a Championship success over Yorkshire at Barnt Green prior to yesterday's triumph.

There will be a different wicket-keeper today with Calvin Dickinson taking over behind the stumps from Jack Manning.

Joe Dodd had been scheduled to keep wicket this week but suffered a finger injury playing club cricket at the weekend.
