Worcestershire will launch their Second Eleven Trophy campaign away to Derbyshire on Tuesday at Alvaston and Boulton Cricket Club.

They will then take on the same opponents in a three-day Championship match at Derby starting the following day.

Leach hit 90 not out off 57 balls with four sixes and 15 fours and Clarke an unbeaten 84 off 48 balls with four sixes and 13 fours to give him an undefeated match aggregate of 193.

Leach struck in successive overs but Somerset looked to be coasting at 282-3 with just 10 runs required.

George Rhodes then caught Barrow of the bowling of Chris Russell and picked up two more wickets himself but the home side secured victory.
