Seconds Return To Action In Fifty Over Clash With League X1

Worcestershire Seconds return to action tomorrow with a one-day friendly match against the North Staffs-South Cheshire League at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.

The game has been brought forward from August 23 as the Seconds are now taking place next week in the three-day 'trial' Championship game against Warwickshire Seconds at Edgbaston.

That match – beging staged from August 22 to 24 – is being played under floodlights with a pink ball.

Alex Hepburn will captain the side tomorrow in the 50 overs a side encounter.

Josh Haynes, who has been named in the Midlands side for the Super Fours at Loughborough next week, is included in the side.

Batsman Ollie Westbury, fresh from his success with the England Under-19s side against Sri Lanka Under-19s, is also named.
