Second team coach Kevin Sharp is delighted with the "excellent development" of Worcestershire's young players during the 2015 campaign.
Sharp, who is also the county's batting coach, has seen Brett D'Oliveira, Joe Clarke and Ed Barnard all step up into the first team.
But the likes of paceman Josh Tongue and spinner Ben Twohig have also made good progress with the Second Eleven.
Sharp said: "This is my second season in the job and performance-wise when you look at the tables, the end products, there has been some excellent development from our young players.
"The team have finished third in the T20 competition, just failed to qualify for finals day, and third in the 50 over competition, again just falling short of the semi-final stages.
"The longer form of the game has been more mixed. I know we are in the bottom half of the Second Eleven Championship but in the extra three and four-day matches we've played, we've tended to have some good results.
"So overall we've seen our young players really developing and performing really well and there has been quite a big number of hundreds made -18 – and that many in a season is no mean feat.
"As a batting coach as well as second team coach, I've got to be quite pleased with that."
Sharp added: "The future is bright. We have some talented young players here. As we can see from our first team cricket, we've probably got a bigger pool of players to pick from who are capable of playing first class cricket.
"That is great because it makes it more competitive. There are probably quite a lot of guys now who could play first team cricket."
Former Yorkshire batsman and coach Sharp is just finishing his second season working as part of the backroom team at New Road and enjoys helping the young players to develop.
He said: "I love my job. I really do revel in working with young cricketers and hopefully playing my small part to help them make that development.
"For me as a coach, you can never quite place the adrenalin of playing the game and making fifties or hundreds or taking a catch .
"But the next best buzz for me is to see guys you've worked with, you've seen them grow and develop, and achieving and doing well. That's really nice to see."
