Worcestershire skipper Daryl Mitchell has praised the form of Ross Whiteley and believes "no ground in the world is big enough" to contain his massive six-hitting ability.
Whiteley had a slow start to the campaign but has been transformed since hitting nine sixes during his 84 not out against former club Derbyshire in the NatWest T20 Blast.
He has been peppering New Road with his awesome power and led Mitchell to joke that a net will have to be erected on top of the stand to stop the balls disappearing out of the ground.
Whiteley hit three more in his 45 not out which helped Worcestershire reach a 305 target in Saturday's win over Lancashire Lightning in the Royal London One-Day Cup at New Road.
Mitchell said: "Ross had a little bit of an unfortunate start but he has played extremely well over the last month or so.
"Everyone knows what he is capable of from when he signed last year and put in some big innings in the one-day format.
"We've all been waiting for him to start firing again this year so it's been exciting to see him strike the ball the way he does.
"No ground in the world is big enough when he gets going. We'll have to put a net on top of the New Road stand to stop the ball!
"He is a fine striker of a cricket ball and that situiation against Lancashire on Saturday was made for him, going into the last 10-12 overs. It was perfect for him."
Worcestershire are gearing up for a hectic week.
They play One-Dsy matches against Gloucestershire and Leicestershire before starting a home LV = County Championship clash against Gloucestershire on Friday.
Mitchell said: "It is a busy week to be fair. It's going to be hard work. We might have to try and protect the bowlers in particular at certain points. It's seven days out of eight and particularly tough on the bowlers.
"From a batters point of view, if you have a low score, you have a chance of getting runs the next day so it's not too bad for the batters.
"But the bowlers, we might have to give a couple a rest here and there but fortunately we've got some quality. Chris Russell is getting back to fitness as well so we will have options there."
