Skipper Daryl Mitchell believes Worcestershire have "a great chance" of victory after Matt Henry's three wicket burst towards the end of the third day of the Specsavers County Championship clash with Gloucestershire at Bristol.
The New Zealand paceman sent back first innings century-maker Hamish Marshall, George Hankins and Kieran Noema-Barnett in the space of 22 balls.
The home side had been 157-1 but closed on 217-6 – a lead of 186.
Opening batsman Mitchell said: "Matt Henry's spell at the end of the day has put us in with a great chance.
"I would be happy to chase any reasonable figure tomorrow because the pitch remains a very good one.
"We have a new ball due before too long (10 overs) and it has nipped around more in the morning sessions, so hopefully we can take the last four wickets pretty quickly."
Mitchell was also full of praise for Joe Clarke's career best 135 which was the bedrock of Worcestershire's first innings total of 411.
He said: "What a prospect Joe Clarke is. He played exceptionally well for his 135 and is a big presence in our changing room for a 19-year-old lad.
"He has a fantastic future and it was a terrific knock in a difficult situation."
Gloucestershire batsman Ian Cockbain said: "We feel the game is really set up nicely for the final day.
"The pitch is doing a bit for the seamers, but we need to bat well in a very important first session.
"Chris Dent (81 not out) has done a great job for us. He has been very patient and is batting really well."
