Start Of Cricket Society Winter Evenings

All cricket lovers who go to New Road are always sad when the season comes to an end each September but every cloud has a silver lining!

For the game we all love can stay in our thoughts throughout the winter months via the Worcestershire Cricket Society montly meetings.

It will be business as usual from October through to March with the get together on the second Tuesday of each month in the Graeme Hick Pavilion with a guest speaker (7.30pm start).

First on the bill tomorrow evening (Tuesday October 10) will be former Gloucestershire and Leicestershire wicket-keeper batsman Barry Dudleston who will be recalling his career.

Dudleston scored 14,747 first class runs with 32 hundreds before becoming an umpire and he officiated in two Tests and four ODIs.

The Society membership per annum is £15 per person or £25 for a double membership.

But you can attend the winter meetings as a non member for an admission charge of £3 per evening.
