Worcester Cathedral is to stage a Service of Thanksgiving next April in honour of legendary Worcestershire batsman Tom Graveney.
Tom sadly passed away earlier this month at the age of 88 after a long battle against Parkinson's disease.
The service will take place in the Cathedral on Friday, April 29 at 2.30pm and all are welcome to attend.
Donations in Tom's memory for Parkinson's UK may be sent to c-o Mason and Stokes, 54 Hewlett Road, Cheltenham, GL52 6AH.
Tom was a prolific scorer for the County after moving to New Road from Gloucestershire in 1961 and played a major part in the 1964 and 1965 County Championship triumphs.
He made 79 Test appearances, scoring 4,882 runs at an average of 44.38 and in his career amassed 47,793 first class runs at an average of 44.91 which included 122 first class hundreds.
Tom was also Worcestershire President from 1994-98 – in addition to being president of the MCC – and continued to visit New Road on a regular basis, attending the 2015 Worcestershire Old Players' Association Day in the 1865 Lounge.
Worcestershire chief executive David Leatherdale: "Tom was a major figure in Worcestershire's history but he was hugely respected and a popular person throughout the game.
"I am sure there will be many, many people who will want to pay their respects to Tom at the Thanksgiving Service at the end of next April."
