Four Worcestershire players will be looking to help their club sides enjoy success on the second day of their matches in Australia tomorrow (Saturday).
Ross Whiteley, Ed Barnard, Joe Leach and Richard Oliver will be in action for Prospect CC, Queanbeyan District, North Canberra Gungahlin and Geelong City respectively.
Barnard, Leach – and Joe Clarke with South Perth – will be playing their final games before heading home to prepare for the county's pre-season tour of Abu Dhabi.
The most meaningful action for Whiteley may take place in the opening few minutes of the South Australian Cricket Association 'A' grade encounter with home side West Torrens.
Prospect were dismissed for 126 on the opening day but West Torrens ended on 123-8 meaning either two wickets or four runs are required for first innings points.
Barnard will be aiming to end his spell with Queanbeyan on a high note away to Tuggerangong Valley in the Australian Capital Territory first grade clash.
Queanbeyan were dismissed for 172 on the opening day but reduced their opponents to 39-3 by the close.
Barnard is his side's leading wicket-taker in the competition with 22 victims.
In the same competition, Leach will be striving to make an impact with the ball in his last appearance against home side Weston Creek Molonglo after the Northies scored 267-6 on day one.
Oliver will be happy to get into action away to Leopold after the opening day of the Geelong Cricket Association Division One clash was washed out.
Geelong City are on the verge of qualifying for the knockout stages.
Oliver said: "The game at Leopold was washed out after heavy rain on the Friday night. All of the pitches in the GCA seemed fine but it was the outfields that were saturated so that disappointing.
"But the points are still to play for as we try again in a one dayer. It's overcast but hot outside and it may be a bowl first day especially if they roll up something similar to last week when I went and had a look! But we'll see what happens.
"Fingers crossed we bring our 'A' game and if we do, I have no doubts we'll get the chocolates."
Keeper Ben Cox is back at New Road after a successful winter but his county colleague Jack Shantry has remained with Greenvale Kangaroos who start a two day Victorian Premier Cricket Bartercard Men's Premier Firsts match with visiting Melbourne University.
Clarke's final appearance for South Perth will be a two-day Western Australian Cricket Association 'A' grade encounter on Saturday and Sunday this weekend with visiting Bayswater-Morley.
Shantry, Oliver and Whiteley will be flying direct to Abu Dhabi from Australia after remaining with their clubs for an additional week.
