Worcestershire spinner Ben Twohig and Academy player Zen Malik helped Wolverhampton to a two wicket victory over Leamington in a Birmingham and District League Premier Division fixture.
Twohig and Malik returned from England Under-19s action against Sri Lanka to play key roles in their side's narrow success.
Spinner Twohig finished with 4-11 from nine overs as Leamington were dismissed for 127 in 33.5 overs.
But Wolverhampton were also made to work hard for runs – Tom Fell was dismissed for a duck – and it was thanks mainly to Malik (45) that they edged home after 28.3 overs.
Brett D'Oliveira returned 2-26 from nine overs for Ombersley as West Bromwich Dartmouth were restricted to 138-9 in 43 overs.
But then Ombersley were bowled out for 63 in 19.3 overs with D'Oliveira failing to trouble the scorers.
In Division One, George Rhodes (33) and Josh Haynes (49) helped Barnards Green chase down Old Hill's 164-6 in 40 overs and win by four wickets.
The pair laid the foundations for their side's victory with an opening stand of 62.
Joe Clarke, Worcestershire's leading run-scorer in the Specsavers County Championship, was ousted for 13 but his side Wellington overhauled Attock's 101-6 in a weather hit Division One fixture to win by six wickets.
Alexei Kervezee contributed 19 as Bromsgrove's 173 in 45 overs was too much for Sutton Coldfield who were bowled out for 139 in 43.4 overs.
