TWOHIG GIVEN OPPORTUNITY TO TRAIN WITH ADELAIDE STRIKERS

ben twohig has been furthering his cricketing education by practicing with big bash side adelaide strikers.

the worcestershire slow left armer has primarily flown out to australia to play for southern districts during the next two months.

but the dewesbury born player has also been afforded the opportunity to train with the strikers.

county assistant coach-bowling coach alan richardson arranged for the link up with the strikers via their coach jason gillespie.

it was a reunion for twohig with 2018 worcestershire overseas player travis head who plays for the strikers.

he bowled in the nets today at several of the strikers players and also took part in fielding practice.

twohig described the training with the strikers as a “fantastic experience.”

last winter twohig spent six weeks honing his skills in india before going onto make his senior breakthrough at New Road.

he played in seven specsavers county championship matches during the 2018 season.

twohig will return to action with his club side when southern districts play t20 games on friday and saturday.
