Ben Twohig produced a fine all-round performance to help Southern Districts to a five wicket win over Prospect CC in a South Australia Cricket Association Premier Cricket T20 Cup.

The Worcestershire CCC player returned the excellent figures of 3-12 from four overs with the ball as Prospect were restricted to 114-8 after opting to bat.

Twohig then came to the wicket at 57-4 and struck an unbeaten 30 to see his side over the finishing line with 4.1 overs to spare.

Prospect had reached 31-0 but Twohig removed both openers including dangerman Izaac Boylan for 21 and captain Harvey Brennan (10).

He also picked up the scalp of middle order batsman Liam Kent (0) with two his victims caught behind the stumps by Blackfinch New Road team-mate Ben Cox.

Cox fell for a first ball duck when Southern Districts launched their reply but two sixes and two fours from Twohig in his 22 ball knock helped them to victory.

Meanwhile, the T20 game with Adelaide University – postponed yesterday because of the severe temperatures in parts of Australia – has been rescheduled for January 14.

Josh Dell hit his highest score of the winter to help Mosman CC to a four wicket win over Parramatta in a New South Wales Premier Cricket second grade encounter.

The Worcestershire CCC batsman struck 98 as his side chased down a 362 target on the second day of the two-day fixture.

Dell and fellow opener Dylan Mares gave their side an ideal launchpad with a partnership of 178.

A century was beckoning for Dell but he was then bowled by Harrison King after striking 14 fours in his 177 ball knock.

It surpassed his 89 against UTS North Sydney in another second grade match.

Mares went onto make 120 before he was run out and then 56 from Danul Dassanayake helped Mosman to victory.

They reached their target in 91.3 overs after Parramatta had totalled 361-8 declared last weekend.
