Riki Wessels finished as Worcestershire Rapids highest run-scorer in the group stages of the 2019 Vitality Blast.

The opening batsman has struck three half centuries and heads into Friday’s quarter-final against Sussex Sharks with a tally of 349 runs.

Martin Guptill (259) and Blast vice-captain Ben Cox (202) are the other two players to have topped 200 runs.

Rapids captain Moeen Ali has already made a massive impact since returning to the side, scoring 195 runs at an average of 63.66.

Moeen also has the Rapids highest strike rate of 161.86 and he and Wessels have both hit 14 sixes in the competition – a tally only bettered by Guptill (19).

On the bowling front Pat Brown is again the Rapids leading wicket-taker with 14 at an economy rate of 8.35.

Daryl Mitchell continues to have the Rapids best economy rate, conceding only 5.66 runs per over.
