Ross Whiteley and England Lions will be looking to bounce back from going behind for the second time in the series when they take on Pakistan 'A' in the fourth T20 match in Dubai on Sunday.
Whiteley had made useful late order contributions with 23 off 15 balls and 29 not out off 20 deliveries in the first two games of the series.
The Worcestershire all-rounder was dismissed for a third ball duck in the third match today as Pakistan 'A' triumphed by four wickets to move 2-1 ahead in the series.
The normally destructive Whiteley came in at number six and fell victim to a good leaping catch by Junaid Khan from a lofted cover drive off Bilal Asif.
England were then 76-5 after electing to bat and it needed a sixth wicket stand of 54 between Liam Dawson – 45 not out from 37 balls with two sixes and two fours – and Ben Foakes (16) to guide them to a more respectable 142-6.
Pakistan were also made to work hard for their runs with Steven Finn making a fine return to bowling with 3-22 in four overs.
But 70 off 50 balls from Pakistan 'A' opener Sharjeel Khan was instrumental in helping to restore his side's advantage in the series.
Worcestershire wicket-keeper-batsman Joe Clarke was again ruled out with a quad strain in training before the second game.
