WOMEN’S RAPIDS LAUNCH HOME PROGRAMME AT HIMLEY

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids will launch their home programme in the 2019 Royal London County One-Day Championship tomorrow (Sunday) when they take on Devon at Himley CC.

The Rapids have made two changes from the squad announced for the opening two matches last weekend away to Middlesex and Berkshire.

Collete Wale and Flora Bertwhistle are brought into the 12 strong party chosen for this game in place of Sally Clarke and Natalie Samuels.

The Rapids will be looking to bounce back from defeats against two of the stronger sides in Division Two.

Steve Magoffin, Lead Coach and manager of the Rapids pathway programme, said: “Following a very tough weekend, against, two of the stronger teams in this Division, including opponents such as Heather Knight and Anya Shrubsole, two England players of exceptional talent and experience, we have taken as much as we can to learn, reflect and move forward to Sunday.

“Everyone has trained very well this week and have reflected on the weekend’s performances.”
