Worcestershire Ace Ross And Sixers Setting Early Pace In Bangladesh

Ross Whiteley’s side Sylhet Sixers are the early pace-setters in the Bangladesh Premier League.

The Worcestershire all-rounder has helped the Sixers to win three of their opening four games.

They triumphed over reigning champions Dhaka Dynamites, Comilla Victorians and Rajshahi Kings before losing to Khulna Titans.

Whiteley did not bat in the opening game but has since had scores of 10 (run out), 25 not out and 27 in addition to taking a wicket against the Titans in his first bowl of the tournament.

All four games were staged in the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium – but now the action will switch to Dhaka for the next batch of matches.

They will take place in the 25,000 capacity Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur which is 10 miles from the city centre of Dhaka.

After a period of four matches in five days, the Sixers have a couple of days break from action before the return match with the Dynamites in Dhaka on November 11.

That will be followed with the rematch with the Titans at the same venue on November 15.
