Worcestershire Analyst Mellish Nominated For An Osca

Worcestershire are already through to one Lord's final this season!

The club's first team performance analyst, Phil Mellish, has been nominated for the National Osca awards at the home of cricket on October 6.

Mellish qualifies in the category of officiating, umpires and scorers.

He was put forward for the award at the Worcestershire Cricket club awards which were staged at New Road this week.

The Worcestershire Cricket Board invite people to nominate anyone they feel has made a contribution to Worcestershire cricket – and Mellish fits into that category.

He was nominated by the Worcestershire Cricket welfare officer Andy Wheeler.

Mellish has a key role with the county in video all the first team action at New Road and providing performance data for Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes.

The 32-year-old, a keen fan of AFC Wimbledon, can be seen every day in the club score-box situated in the New Road stand.
