Ollie Westbury has helped Grafton United into the top two of the Tom Hellaby Two-Day Championship in Auckland after the opening trio of matches.
The Worcestershire batsman has scored 153 runs at an average of 51.
Westbury is currently Grafton’s leading run-scorer in the competition and the fifth highest overall.
Grafton have gained first innings points from the matches with Ellerslie CC and Waitakere CC while the encounter with North Shore was abandoned as a draw.
George Rhodes’ side, Onslow, in contrast are currently lying in 10th spot out of 12 teams in the 50 over Ewen Chatfield Trophy competition in Wellington.
Worcestershire all-rounder Rhodes has scored 66 runs in five knocks – some of them on challenging pitches for batsmen – with a top score of 31 not out and has picked up five wickets at 27.60.
Onslow have nine points from one win, four defeats and two wash-outs.
Over in Australia, Ed Barnard’s club, Scarborough, are just below mid-table after seven games in the Western Australia Cricket Association first grade competition.
The County all-rounder, who flew out in early November for a second spell with Scarborough, has scored 87 runs at an average of 29.00.
Scarborough are occupying 10th position in the 16 team table having obtained first innings points in three of the seven matches.
