The Worcestershire Supporters' Association continues to flourish and here is a winter bulletin on their current ventures and how they fared during the 2015 season.

ANOTHER INCREASE IN SHOP SALES

Once again the Supporters' Association Shop, situated at the back of the Basil D'Oliveira Stand, proved very popular during the 2015 season with members and visitors to New Road.

Sales increased for the second year running and the Association would like to thank everyone who supported the shop.

The Association will again endeavour to stock the shop with a selection of merchandise.

The clothing ranges introduced last season proved popular and if possible, it will be extended. But space and storage is limited so it is not possible to stock all items that have been requested.

The popular Playfair Annual, Who's Who Of Cricket and Wisden will again be stocked next season – hopefully again at discounted prices.

The Association 2016 calendars have proved so popular that they have already sold out.

RAY EDWARDS LEGACY RAISES £2,000 PLUS

The generous legacy left to the Association by the late Ray Edwards of more than 1,000 cricket books raised £2,200.

The books were sold at matches last season via a book store next to the Association shop.

Special thanks is given to Ken Workman who helped in initially valueing and then selling the books.

MEMBERS DAYS WELL SUPPORTED

The Association members days in the Chestnut Marquee were as always extremely well supported.

For 2015 another day was added to the accustomed two members days.

Depending on fixtures and the availability of The Marquee, it is possible there will be another three members days during 2016.

DONATIONS TO COUNTY ACADEMY

The Association once again donated £5,000 – to the flourishing Worcestershire CCC Academy.

It is felt this is an investment which will be to benefit of the future of the club as shown by the young talent which is flourishing.

A donation was also made towards the cost of the replacement windows in the Ladies Pavilion and upgrading the PA system at New Road.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD TO BE REVIVED

Next year the Association is to resurrect its Player Of The Year award and all members of the Association will be entitled to vote.

Membership of the Association costs £5 per year or £25 for life membership with forms available from New Road.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH SOLD OUT

This year's Christmas lunch in the Graeme Hick Pavilion on December 13 is already sold out.

But for those wanting to enjoy a Christmas lunch at New Road, the Sunday lunches are available in the Hick Pavilion on December 6 and 20.
