Worcs All-Rounder Whiteley To Skipper Prospects In Adelaide Clash

Ross Whiteley will make his first appearance of the winter on Saturday for Adelaide based Prospects Cricket Club.

The Worcestershire all-rounder will captain Prospects in the South Australia Cricket Association Grade 'A' match away to Adelaide University at the University Oval.

Whiteley is listed at number three in the batting order for Prospects.

He was voted Worcestershire's Twenty20 Player of The Year for his contribution in helping them reach the quarter-finals of the NatWest T20 Blast.

County opener Richard Oliver will skipper Geelong City in their home Geelong Cricket Association Division One meeting with Grovedale.

Left-hander Oliver will be looking to follow up his 116 last weekend against Murgheboluc with another impressive contribution.

Greenvale Kangaroos duo, wicket-keeper Ben Cox and paceman Jack Shantry, will be aiming to repeat the impressive win over Melbourne in the Victorian Premier Cricket First Division clash away to Prahran.

Cox scored 57 off 44 balls and Worcestershire colleague Shantry was unbeaten on 22 in the five wicket success.

New Road all-rounder Joe Leach was on the losing side last weekend for North Canberra Gungahlin despite top-scoring with 30 and taking two wickets against Queanbeyan District.

Leach will look for better fortunes in the Australian Capital Territory first grade encounter away to Western District UC.

Ed Barnard (Queanbeyan), Joe Clarke (South Perth) and Alex Hepburn (Willetton Dragons) are also expected to be in action against Weston Creek Molongo, Midland-Guildford and Mount Lawley respectively.
