Worcestershire ended the 2015 campaign on a high note when they defeated Middlesex by an innings and 128 runs with more than a day to spare in the LV = County Championship match at New Road.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore completed his maiden Championship century and there was a rapid half century from Ben Cox before Worcestershire skipper Daryl Mitchell declared on 431-5 – an overall lead of 333.
Then the Worcestershire bowlers routed second placed Middlesex for the second time in the game with Jack Shantry, Shannon Gabriel, Ed Barnard and Joe Leach amongst the wickets as Middlesex were bowled out for 205 on the brink of tea.
It was the County's third innings success of 2015 following on from the other home victories against Somerset and Hampshire.
Middlesex openers Paul Stirling and Sam Robson negotiated eight overs before lunch in reaching 39-0 but Barnard removed the latter for 12 and Nick Compton (4) in the space of four balls after the resumption.
Robson was trapped lbw and Compton was caught behind by Cox. Stirling (22) and Neil Dexter (24), in his last appearance for Middlesex before joining Leicestershire, were undone by Shantry.
Stirling fell to a sharp catch by Ross Whiteley at fourth slip and Kohler-Cadmore held on to a low chance away to his right at first slip to account for Dexter.
Gabriel followed up his 5-31 in the first innings by bowling skipper James Franklin (4) and Dawid Malan (4) after beating them for pace before Ollie Rayner (0) departed in the same manner to Shantry.
It became 131-8 when James Harris (7) edged Joe Leach to keeper Ben Cox and then Roland-Jones (2) was run out attempting a third run to Brett D'Oliveira at third man.
John Simpson and Tim Murtagh enjoyed themselves in a last wicket stand of 72 before Murtagh was run out for 24 after surviving an lbw appeal against Shantry.
Kohler-Cadmore resumed on 97 not out and went to three figures with a cover drive for four off spinner Ollie Rayner from the fifth ball he faced today.
It was completed from 192 deliveries with 12 boundaries.
Kohler-Cadmore celebrated in the middle with his flat-mate Tom Fell and received a standing ovation from his team-mates on the dressing room balcony.
Fell, who yesterday completed 1,000 Championship runs in a season for the first time, added four to his overnight 167 before he was caught at cover off Neil Dexter.
He struck 25 fours and a six in his 267 ball innings and added 229 in 61 overs with Kohler-Cadmore.
Whiteley (9) provided Dexter with another wicker, caught off a leading edge at third man, and the visitors rattled through 16 overs in the first 40 minutes to avoid a possible points deduction.
Cox ensured Worcestershire got to 400 and the five maximum batting points inside the 110 overs with a typically aggressive innings.
He hit Dexter for two sixes via a sweep and over long off and reached his half century off 37 balls.
Kohler-Cadmore was unbeaten on 130 from 235 balls with 13 fours and Cox 53 not out when the declaration came at 431-5 50 minutes before lunch.
The pair had added 78 in 12 overs.
