Promotion-chasing Worcestershire suffered more weather frustration when well placed with only 14.1 overs possible before lunch on the second day of the LV = County Championship match with Kent at Tunbridge Wells.
During that period openers Daryl Mitchell and Matt Pardoe scored 48 without being parted in reply to Kent's first innings total of 258 all out.
Mitchell was unbeaten on 24 from 49 deliveries with four fours while Pardoe, who survived one chance, was 20 not out from 36 balls with two fours.
But then rain, which had delayed the start by 15 minutes, led to an early lunch and although play was scheduled to restart at 1.50, the heavens again opened and the day was abandoned at 4pm.
The county have won their three home games but all three of their away fixtures with Hampshire, Glamorgan and now Kent have been badly affected by the elements when Worcestershire have had the upper hand.
Worcestershire's attack had again demonstrated their resolve on a flat pitch and secured maximum bowling points for the sixth time out of six this season after Key had won the toss and elected to bat.
Leading the way was all-rounder Joe Leach who had forced his way back into the side for the home win over Essex last week after a spell captaining the second eleven and consistent performances with bat and ball.
He has worked hard this winter on improving and developing his bowling and the results were there for all to see as he returned career best figures of 5-36 from 12.4 overs.
Leach removed the openers Daniel Bell-Drummond and Robert Key and then returned to mop up the innings with three wickets in the space of four overs.
He was well supported by Saeed Ajmal (2-80), Jack Shantry (1-38), Charlie Morris (1-39) and Moeen Ali (1-52).
Despite the unhelpful conditions, the county attack again impressed with their discipline and tight line which has been the trademark of their performances this season.
It meant the Kent batsmen were never in control even during a stand of 93 between Sam Northeast and Brendan Nash for the third wicket.
Worcestershire made one change from the side which had beaten Essex with the available again Moeen replacing Tom Kohler-Cadmore.
*Worcestershire Seconds will start a three-day Championship match against Nottinghamshire at Worcester Royal Grammar School today (Tuesday).
The two sides will meet again on Friday in a Second Eleven Trophy encounter.
