Worcs Star Moeen Heading Back To India For Odi And T20I Series

Worcs Star Moeen Heading Back To India For Odi And T20I Series

Moeen Ali will return to India tomorrow (Thursday) with the England squad for three ODIs and three T20Is in just over two weeks.

The Worcestershire all-rounder and his international team-mates will fly out from Heathrow seeking better fortunes than in the recent Test series won 4-0 by the host nation.

Moeen ended as England's second top scorer in the series, with the aid of two centuries, but his 10 wickets costs nearly 65 runs apiece.

Now after just two weeks back in this country, the 29-year-old will be looking to add to his 46 ODI and 19 T20I appearances since making his debut in the West Indies three years ago.

England will take part in two 50-over warm-up fixtures against India A in Mumbai before the first ODI in Pune on January 15.

Eoin Morgan returns to captain the side in both formats after opting not to tour Bangladesh for security reasons.

Moeen will now be concentrating solely on white ball cricket with England for the next six months before the Test series versus South Africa in July.
