Worcestershire CCC trio Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Alex Milton and Zen Malik yesterday played key roles in helping Old Malvernians to win the prestigious Cricketer Cup in the final at Arundel.
The three former Malvern College pupils all played their part in the 55 run success over Old Cranleighans.
Milton, who currently keeps wicket for Worcestershire Seconds, scored a superb 102 as Old Malvernians totalled 251-8 in their 50 overs.
But the 20-year-old, contrary to some archive sources, is NOT the grandson of the former Gloucestershire player Arthur Milton who played cricket and football for England at full international level.
Kohler-Cadmore made the trip down the South Coast from Canterbury, where he had been in Specsavers County Championship action against Kent, and scored 76.
Academy player Malik, who is currently part of the England Under-19 squad, then picked up two wickets and also took a catch off the bowling of Kohler-Cadmore.
But it was Worcester-born player in Charles Griffiths who did most of the damage with the ball for Old Malvernians.
Griffiths, 28, who previously played Minor Counties cricket for Herefordshire, bamboozled Old Cranleighans with his slow left arm spin.
He finished with 6-28 as they were dismissed for 196.
