Rapids To Make Enforced Change For Outlaws Encounter

Table-topping Worcestershire Rapids will have to make one enforced change for this evening’s Vitality Blast encounter with Notts Outlaws at Trent Bridge (7pm start).

Nottinghamshire paceman Luke Wood, currently on loan to Worcestershire, is not eligible to face his parent club.

Wood has appeared in all of the Rapids Blast matches to date plus the Specsavers County Championship clash with Somerset.

Head Coach Kevin Sharp has named an unchanged squad to face the Outlaws – minus Wood.

It is the players who featured in last night’s thrilling three wicket success over the then North Group leaders Durham Jets plus Dillon Pennington and Andy Carter who will come into contention to replace Wood.

Regarding tonight’s encounter, Sharp said: “They are all tough games. Everyone can beat each other. We’ve seen that.

“The league is really quite tight. You can win one easily, lose one easily and you can have close exchanges.

“All you’ve got to do is prepare and believe and go out and play the next game.”

For those Rapids supporters unable to make the trip to Trent Bridge, tonight’s game is being shown live on Sky Sports.
