Saeed Ajmal has said he feels "comfortable" with his remodelled action after returning to competitive cricket for the first time in three months.
The spinner, a key part of Worcestershire's LV = County Championship campaign last summer, is hoping his action will be cleared by the ICC so he can play in the 2015 World Cup.
Ajmal bowled six overs for Pakistan 'A' against Kenya in Lahore and returned 1-23 in a one-day game reduced to 28 overs a side. He is due to play another match against the same opposition today (Saturday).
The 37-year-old was banned from international cricket after his action was reported during the Sri Lanka-Pakistan Test in Galle in August.
He has to pass an ICC biomechanics test to be allowed to play in the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in February.
Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has already confirmed he wants to re-sign Ajmal for the 2015 campaign if his action is deemed legal by the ICC.
Rhodes held talks with Ajmal during his recent spell in England when he undertook two unofficial biomechanic tests at Loughborough and worked on his action with former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq.
Ajmal said: “I was playing a proper match after nearly three months but I felt comfortable with my corrected action.
“I didn’t hold myself back and bowled all my deliveries.
"I am still very hopeful my action will be cleared before the World Cup because it is an event I want to be part of very much."
Iqbal Qasim, a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board bowling action review committee, said: “The idea behind selecting Ajmal is to get him ready for the ICC bowling action review test before the World Cup.
“He definitely has improved his action and the more he plays we think he will loosen up and get better."
