Sales Of Three Pavilions Prints Move Past 40 Mark

Around 40 prints of the painting commissioned by the Worcestershire Supporters' Association to mark Worcestershire County Cricket Club's 150th Anniversary and the Supporters' Association's Blue Sapphire Anniversary have been snapped up.

Worcester artist David Birtwistle, who was commissioned to produce the painting, has signed the limited edition of 150 prints – all of which have also been numbered.

Birtwhistle’s painting shows Worcestershire CCC’s Isaac Pavilion at Boughton (1878-1896), the Foley Pavilion at New Road (1898-2008) and the magnificent view south-west across the Graeme Hick Pavilion (2009-) to the Malvern Hills.

And for anyone wanting to view before purchasing, there is a framed print positioned on the wall next to the lift on Level One of The View – the floor where the club offices are situated.

It can also be viewed at optician Nic Sproson – the official optician of Worcestershire CCC – at 52 Barbourne Road, Worcester.

Interspersed into the print are other themes relating to Worcestershire CCC's proud history such as the first scoreboard at Boughton, the original scoreboard at New Road, the Supporters' Association built 1954 scoreboard, and today’s electronic video screen.

Chairman Andrew Jenkins said: "The print continues to prove to be popular with members and we have pre-sold around 40 and other people have also expressed an interest."

The price for an unframed print is £50 and can also be purchased from Andrew Jenkins c-o County Ground, New Road, Worcester, WR2 4QQ with cheques made payable to WCCSA.
