TWOHIG HELPS UNLEY TO SEAL T20 SEMI-FINAL SPOT

Ben Twohig’s side, Unley CC, are through to the semi-finals of the Adelaide Cricket Association T20 Cup.

The Worcestershire CCC player helped Unley overcome Flinders Park by three wickets in a low scoring quarter-final.

Spinner Twohig took the new ball and bowled his four overs at a cost of 31 runs.

Flinders Park were restricted to 112-9 in their 20 overs with Zachary Treloar returning fine figures of 4-0-15-4.

Twohig, who also plays for Southern Districts  during his winter spell Down Under, then made an important contribution with the bat after coming to the wicket at 34-3.

He added 41 for the fourth wicket with Sunam Gautam (47).

Twohig lifted Unley to within just 11 runs of victory when he was dismissed for 29 off 38 balls, lbw to Thomas Cousins.

Unley lost one more wicket but reached their target with five balls to spare.

The semi-finals will take place on February 18 with Hope Valley CC, Marion CC and Walkerville CC the other teams through to the last four.
